Macroediting focuses on clarity, document structure & readability. I identify and provide solutions for the following:

  • unclear or ambiguous passages
  • a jumbled order of information within paragraphs, sections or chapters
  • unclear, inaccurate or incomplete presentation of information
  • incorporating suggestions and responses to queries from co-authors/co-owners into a new draft

Microediting - "The details":
Microediting focuses on issues such as grammar, consistency and accuracy. I identify and provide solutions for the following:

  • errors in grammar, spelling, syntax and punctuation
  • inconsistent spelling, capitalization, font usage, numerals and hyphenation
  • continuity errors such as loose ends
  • factually incorrect statements
  • potential legal liability
