Macroediting - "The big picture"

Macroediting focuses on clarity, document structure & readability. I identify and provide solutions for the following:

unclear or ambiguous passages
a jumbled order of information within paragraphs, sections or chapters
unclear, inaccurate or incomplete presentation of information
incorporating suggestions and responses to queries from co-authors/co-owners into a new draft

Microediting - "The details":
Microediting focuses on issues such as grammar, consistency and accuracy. I identify and provide solutions for the following:

errors in grammar, spelling, syntax and punctuation
inconsistent spelling, capitalization, font usage, numerals and hyphenation
continuity errors such as loose ends
factually incorrect statements
potential legal liability
inconsistencies within the story

Quality check

The quality check involves careful proofreading before your document is publicized. During the proofreading process, I compare the proof or final copy of your document to the original edited copy. I check for the following:

no omissions or missing pages
no awkward word or page breaks
any last inconsistencies or technical errors
